Steve Williams came to FAME as Creative Director in 2009. His success and experience have been fueled by the love for songs and artists. Steve’s continued driving force is to help others achieve their dreams of becoming writers and artists.

Prior to FAME, Steve arrived in Nashville in 1985 to further his education. It was in his final year of school he received an internship with a newly formed label, Arista/Nashville. It did not take long for President Tim Dubois to extend that internship into full-time employment.

Steve began calling approximately 125 secondary market radio stations that reported to the Gavin trade organization. Eventually Steve obtained multiple #1 records for the Arista roster. In 1992 Steve was promoted to West Coast Regional Manager based in Phoenix, AZ. He called on 65 Billboard and R&R reporting stations in a region spanning 12 states. During his time in promotion, he achieved over ten #1 singles, over 25 top 5 singles, and over 15 million units sold. His achievements in chart success included Alan Jackson's "Here in the Real World," Brooks & Dunn's "Neon Moon," and "Boot Scootin' Boogie," Pam Tillis' "Maybe It Was Memphis," Diamond Rio's "Meet In The Middle," among numerous other hits.

In 1994 Steve returned to Nashville to move into a position he had desired since early in his life, A&R. Working with songwriter and artists on master recordings and developing new unsigned talent was a passion. He would help A&R projects for Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Diamond Rio, Pam Tillis, Lee Roy Parnell, and Brad Paisley.

Later he would join Arista's artist development team working simultaneously with the promotion department, marketing department, creative arts department and artist managers. This position allowed an understanding of working with projects as a whole, from start to finish.
